Why is it important to be certified?

For us at Valentin, the certification doesn’t represent a change, we have always maintained a high-quality standard. However, through this process, we now have evidence that our services also deliver on an international level. We already knew we were strong in this area, but now everyone knows it. The certification provides a stamp of approval and assurance.

For our clients, it means they can trust us as a supplier. They know they have a partner whose operations function correctly, without any hidden issues or pitfalls along the way. A way of working that also meets the clients’ standards.

Additionally, we are supported by the international framework that continually helps us improve and develop. We live in a changing world, but thanks to certification, our clients can be confident that we, year after year, keep our promises and deliver the highest quality.

Why does an agency need environmental certification?

It’s obvious that we all do everything we can to improve the environment. While our operations may not have a significant environmental impact, there’s always room for improvement. Moreover, this means that we can now, better than ever, collaborate with our clients to highlight relevant environmental issues in our projects, thereby having an even greater impact.

How did the certification process go?

The process has been ongoing for some time; we have undertaken two parallel certifications simultaneously. Along the way, we involved the entire organization; everyone has participated in the journey and contributed. For example, we have had joint training sessions in environmental and quality matters and refined all policies. We are now approved for both certifications simultaneously, so we have clear evidence that we work smart and sustainably!

“Everything we do should be perceived as an expression of quality; it’s a given in all our processes.”

What does ISO mean?

The certification itself consists of three parts: ISO, 9001 (or 14001), and 2015. The abbreviation ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization, which develops the standards, guidelines, and requirements for certification. The organization behind the certification is an independent, non-governmental international organization that develops global standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, systems, and services. The certification is handled by an independent third party and is tested annually. Finally, the year, 2015, indicates when the requirements were last revised by ISO, and we therefore meet the latest specifications.

9001

The number indicates which standard has been met. The 9000 family deals with quality management, and our ISO 9001 certification is one of the most well-known. The requirement for certification means that we meet a number of quality assurance principles, i.e., that we are efficient, deliver high quality, and achieve high customer satisfaction.

14001

The ISO 14001 standard is the most recognized international standard for environmental management and a quality mark for our environmental work. This means that we meet international requirements to identify and understand how our operations affect the environment and actively work to improve our environmental performance. The certification means, not only that we at Valentin meet high standards in environmental work, but also that we actively work for increased sustainability together with our clients.
